The Position:

Are you a recent college grad looking to launch your sales career? Or perhaps you're looking for a career change and want to get into the fintech SaaS space? Well, we are growing our Business Development Executive team and are looking to develop the future leaders of sales. This entry-level role will allow you to hone your prospecting/hunting skills by researching, engaging with, and sending qualified leads to our Account Executives. Our ideal candidate will be tenacious and hungry for success, developing into a Corporate Account Executive in 1-2 years. This is an exciting time to join our growing company and you can help shape our future.

The position is based in the Chicagoland area.

What You’ll Do

As a Sales Development Representative at Bectran, your main objective is to get prospective customers excited about what we can offer them and schedule product demonstrations for them with our Account Executives. You will be an integral part of helping the company build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and grow its revenue.

  • Engage prospective customers by phone and email
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure strong communication and proper hand-offs
  • Make a great first impression with our prospects by demonstrating strong knowledge in key areas such as product, competitors, industry, and more (you’ll be thoroughly trained on this!)
  • Hit your monthly targets for qualified demos booked and completed
  • Be a product knowledge expert and successfully overcome prospective customer objections
  • Actively look for opportunities to improve and optimize our sales processes
  • Accurately enter and maintain clean data in our CRM [please apply online] You Need to Get the Job Done

    This is an entry-level sales position so we're not expecting you to come in here as a sales expert. You will be learning from the top performers at Bectran and will continue to develop your sales skills over time. Before you get started, you will undergo a significant amount of training and we also do continuous training (on the job and in regularly scheduled team meetings.) We are focused on ensuring you grow your skills.
